Welcome to Dark Star!
This website contains some valuable information as well as some 'just for fun' stuff but the following information will cover the basics you need to know about us.
Our general policy is: be nice, be helpful, stick around, and you'll get promoted. We try not to curse in guild chat and you will be reminded if you forget. We are a leveling guild and have folks of all levels and experience.
The guild officers and their alts are:
One definitive rule we have here is that no form of the word 'noob' will be tolerated in guild chat. We find that word to be derogatory and our intent is to support and help people - not put them down.
We take our banking rules seriously. Please check out the bank rules before making your first withdrawal so we can avoid any potential problems.
We are here to help so feel free to ask questions. Our guildies are knowledgeable and friendly.
Check out the rest of the site for more detailed information.
Happy questing and have fun - we're glad you are here!
It seems like every June we have announcements to make, and 2011 is no exception!
Our recruitment cap has been raised to 65 to reflect the 5 additional levels that Cataclysm provided. We've also extended the lower limit down to 10, since most players seem to have a good feel for their toons by that point. So we are actively seeking levels 10-65, and as always we will consider toons outside that range on a case by case basis.
I would like to remind everybody that we have discussion forums on this website. Simply click the "Forums" button on the side bar and read away. If you would like to post and do not have an account, send in-game mail to Daaghowt, and I will get you a user ID.

Thanks to everybody who attended our guild meeting this week!
Congratulations to our new officers: Milrin, Pilla, Sarek, Vasos, and Windan. We are very grateful that you have offered your services to the guild.
Thank you as well to Pwah, Hepez, and Kynden for giving us their time and efforts as guild officers - we hope you stick around!

We recently raised the recruiting cap to level 60. The previous cap of 55 (58 for Death Knights) put us in a position where we were making many exceptions. With the higher cap, we hope to have a consistent rule where exceptions will once again be rare.
At this time, guild members of rank Noble and above can recruit. Acceptable levels are toons between level 20 and level 60. The lower restriction helps to ensure that people are happy with their toons before they enter the guild - this helps reduce the number of inactive toons that we have to boot out. The upper cap ensures that people are in the guild long enough to level with us, which means we get to continue being a "leveling" guild.
Please keep these points in mind when you recruit new members. Thank you!
